15.4-inch 2-layer ITO Film+ITO Glass Structure Analog 5-wire Resistive Touch Screen
Dr Pan: Welcome to DISPLAY Museum. I am Dr Pan, the curator of Museum.
Greg: Hello, Dr Pan. I am Greg. I came here to learn about analog 5-wire resistive touch screen.
Dr Pan: Hello Greg. Analog 5-wire resistive touch screen is the most advanced, reliable and fastest touch technology so far.
Dr Pan: The most vivid feature is 5-wire FPC.
Dr Pan: It is going to need two layers to achieve the touch function: Top sheet ITO film and Bottom sheet ITO glass.
Dr Pan: ITO film that only serves as detective probe is still working even if it has been slightly damaged.
Dr Pan: Both X and Y electrodes are on the ITO glass, and X+, X-, Y+ and Y- are located in the four corners.
Dr Pan: When we touch the surface of the screen, the controller can get 4 values in the 4 corners.
Dr Pan: The contacting positions can be calculated since the values in the 4 corners are noted.
Greg: Dr Pan, since you said analog 5-wire resistive touch screen is so great, can I say that it is the best touch screen you have ever seen?
Dr Pan: Not really. Every coin has two sides. It can be used in the hostile environment: dust, humidity, greasy dirt.
Dr Pan: High resolution and extremely long serving time.
Dr Pan: It is the best choice for ATM, industrial machine, POS machine, ticket machine, medical equipment, copy machine, etc.
Dr Pan: Even if the ITO film is slightly damaged, it can still be working.
Dr Pan: It perfectly solves the short serving time problem of analog 4-wire resistive touch screen.
Dr Pan: But it isn’t doing very well in both user experience and light transmittance.
Dr Pan: It requires a touch point correction after some time of serving.
Greg: Thank you, Dr Pan. Now I got it.
Dr Pan: Welcome to contact us if you have any question.
